It’s safe to say that the team here at Billian are feeling festive today! We’re all dressed in our best (and worst) Christmas jumpers to raise money for a fantastic charity, and the whole team finally agrees that it’s an acceptable time to play Christmas songs on repeat throughout the office.
This year, we have chosen to fundraise for East Lancashire Hospice – a local charity that provides exceptional care to patients with cancer in their final stages of life, as well as much needed support to their families and friends.
Having opened in 1984 by an anaesthetist named Merton Seigleman, the hospice is rich with history and has been helping patients in East Lancashire ever since.
Simon Lawson, Director of Operations at Billian, said “we chose the East Lancashire Hospice as our charity this year because of the incredible and selfless work they do each day, which has touched all of our lives in some way, whether it’s someone we know, or someone close. We are incredibly proud to raise money for them and hope it helps in some small way.”
We’re also looking forward to enjoying a 3-course meal as a team tonight, and seeing what presents our collea- ahem, Santa- has left under the tree for us!
