About Us

In 1995, after many years of working within the travel technology sector as a Senior Developer and Development Manager for one of the most well-known suppliers in the UK, Ian decided to start something new. With the aim of providing innovative and effective solutions that would guide the travel world online, and as the World Wide Web was just finding his feet, Billian was founded.

Over the years, he has built a reputation for producing industry-leading software. In addition to his technical ability and keen eye for detail, Ian has an excellent understanding of the travel industry in general, making it easy for him to provide the link between our customers and the development team in order to produce solutions that are user-friendly and intuitive for the customer but also technically comprehensive and stable.

Ian’s favourite destination is Cairns in Australia, “Undoubtedly, the best underwater views I have ever seen” comments Ian who also has a great passion for Scuba diving.

Vicki is a Director at Billian. She overlooks various departments, from sales, to marketing, to finance, but her main passion is looking after customers and ensuring they have all the information and support they need to reap the benefits of our products.

She also ensures that Billian is focused on new business generation and growth, as well as the promotion of our brand and reputation. Starting work at 16 years old in a small retail travel agency in Cheshire, UK, she went on to gain experience in the business travel sector before taking an interest in travel technology.

She worked for 5 years implementing and providing training for mid- and back-office systems, before joining Billian in 1997. Over the years, Vicki has supported each department in the business and still works with them all to ensure her years of experience and industry knowledge are put to good use.

Vicki's favourite holiday destination is Cape Town, a “vibrant place with so many beautiful views and something for everyone!”

Michelle started her travel career as a YTS, 25 years ago within a small independent retail agency. She quickly found her passion was travel.

Her career has taken her through a variety of roles within the industry, with customers satisfaction being the focal point. 

Michelle has worked within travel technology for 9+ years, providing help and support for solutions such as mid- and back-office, online booking tools and training queries for travel industry professionals. 

She is a people's person, who likes a chat ... about the business and its plans for the future.  Michelle has visited many of the Greek Islands - numerous times and is obsessed with the food! But she's recently fallen in love with the White Isle of Ibiza - the music, the vibe & the Sangria of course! 

Matt joined Billian in 2016 as a Digital Design apprentice. He works closely with both the Marketing and Digital Design departments to create graphics and animations that are used across our website and various e-campaigns.

Matt is in charge of exposing our brand and managing our presence online. He’s the brains behind many of our social media campaigns! Following a year of hard work and dedication, Matt completed his apprenticeship and was offered a full-time position at Billian doing the same role.

Although the Canaries are a firm favourite, Matt would love to visit Italy. “The food, the landmarks, and the culture have always excited me. I would love to be able to travel there.”

Lew joined the team in 2017 as Web Designer. He works closely with the other members of the development and design team to deliver beautiful yet functional websites.

“I’d love to do a Scandinavian road trip. There’s some beautiful scenery up there to get lost in, plenty of snow to get stuck in, and some pretty unique architecture.”
